B-A-N-D-W-A-G-O-N As It Gets

Much like most of the Viking bandwagoners around this joint(minus Jimbo and Vikes1). These guy/gals are the biggest bandwagoners as it get folks.

I mean come on now.

http://kstp.com/article/stories/S722907.shtml?cat=1

55% of season tickets holders bought playoff tickets? 20,000 tickets left?

For a playoff game? Way to support your team!

Without Packers fans there to fill most of their seats, they just can't get it done.

Evidently many of the season ticket holders aren't confident that the Viking can beat Philadelphia and they don't want to watch the debacle and then fight the traffic afterward.

And Los Angeles doesn't have a team, and San Antonio has a 65,000 seat domed field and no team.

That's crossed my mind, there going to be and have asked for a new stadium yet they have issues even selling out a PLAYOFF game?

Yeah that's another black eye for the stadium deal.

20,000 PLAYOFF tickets unsold? Hard to imagine - dumb asses don't deserve a team. Must be the chilly weather getting to the game. Detroit has the worst team in the NFL and the queens have the worst fans. Disgraceful.

So what's it gonna be ... the 2012 San Antonio Vikings or the 2012 Los Angeles Lions???

Update:

http://blogs.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=2361

11,000 still and they have already asked the NFL for extentsion because they know they are not going to make tomorrows 3pm deadline.

Rumor has it, one of the local radio stations(KFAN) was litterally GIVEN tickets away hand over fist. No, not a promo or any sort of contest. Just giving them away for ANYONE that called in while they had the William sisters on the air.

The Minnesota Vikings, the little short fat kid that nobody wants to play with?

Reminds me of the man who left his two Viking season tickets on his dashboard. Somebody broke his window and left two more tickets.

Shoot, I'm almost tempted to make the 5 hour drive just so I can actually experience an NFL playoff game.

Vikings hope for Second Extension

This about sums it up:

LaCroix said the team has had conversations with various companies about purchasing a bulk amount of tickets, but the response hasn't been favorable. The Vikings needed corporate help to reach a sellout eight times over the past two seasons.

I hate to say it because I enjoy the rivalry, but maybe it's time to get move that team. As someone else mentioned, they've been trying to get a team in L.A. for years, and San Antonio is chomping at the bit. If they can't support an NFL franchise, find someplace that can.

You just can't make this up:

Minnesota's Allen 'begs' fans to buy playoff tickets

With Minnesota's first home playoff game in a near-decade just two days away, the Vikes have yet to sell enough tickets to lift a local television blackout.

So the sales department has enlisted Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen to "beg" fans to buy tickets for the game. In this video (link) posted on the team's official site, Allen entreats Minnesota fans to buy tickets, explaining the importance of home-field advantage: "We're not going to have one of the best crowds and the loudest stadiums in the league with people missing."

"I'm asking you, I’m begging the people of Minnesota: Buy up these tickets," Allen says. "Spend a little cashish. We just had Christmas, [you] probably got a little Christmas bonus. Go buy some tickets."

Why doesn't Allen buy up the tickets? Didn't he get a big signing bonus? He must have 500k laying around. He could give them away.

BTP, you're right. You just can't make that shit up, unfrickinbelievable. That team should just be eliminated. Truly pathetic

No, you can't make that stuff up.

But Allen could take some of the fortune Minnesota threw at him....say 150K...and buy up a bunch of tickets and donate them to some youth club or charity or something.

How many tickets would 150K buy? A thousand? Maybe some of his teammates, and the owner, and a corporation could match.

Didn't someone say they were $40 each? If so, 150K buys 3750 tickets.

Did they get 'em sold or will it be blacked out?

Wonder how many went to Philly Fans.

Not sure, I guess we could ask someone to count Eagle fans in the stands

Hard time selling out a playoff game after getting two extensions? Still havent been able to land a stadium deal? Coperate(s) have bailed them out in eight games in the last two years?

I wonder still if "the Packers are more likely to move before the Vikings" ?
