I'll admit this last one was the doozie.

Not only are the queens done, but their "fans" seem to be in epic meltdown mode! They can't quite grasp the meaning of anything!

I haven't had this much fun since.........on wait, I've never had this much fun!

To choke you have to have been in the game for awhile, so not showing up doesn't count. They were never best team in the Tark years and nobody likes Hank Stram. Can't count a fluke play; at least their fans had some balls back then. Hard to blame a kicker, but wasn't that the game that Cunningham started short arming throws in the second half? And since the Nathan Vasher endzone pick in the last game of the year wasn't an option, I went for the Brent option because all the ball handlers went on tilt too. Sort of like lemmings. Now, that's leadership for you.

I actually believe this one was worse than 1998

maybe it's just because it came last in the sequence of all the others. If we hadn't gone through all that other junk, I think this one would be blown off as no big deal. But this was so similar to 98 just in the fact it was a team that had never been in the super bowl, and it was pretty apparent that the better team lost the game as a result of mental errors.

The 12 men in the huddle was the equivalent of the Gary Anderson miss, and of course the game losing play was the horrible Favre INT. Once they lost the coin flip it was curtains.

At least in 1998 they had a kick even though they missed it. A miss by a kicker is easier to take than a total giveaway by your quarterback in a situation that just called for a simple play to pick up 4 or 5 yards.

I missed it in the list but I should have voted for the Nate Poole play - that really was the biggest choke because it was to a 4-12 team with everything on the line, and they led by 11 points with 2 minutes left. Gave up a TD, onside kick, and a 4th and 25 on the last play of the game. Doesn't get any worse than that.

I'm going with the Super Bowls -- or more precisely Tarkenton's performance in them.

Rightfully in the HoF but his combined rating in 73, 74, and 76: 43.7. Youch! Even back then when ratings were lower due to different rules and different styles of play that's still pretty darn bad.

Not including Wild Card Games and Divisional Games the Vikings are 0-9 in the biggest games in their history, of course they did win 4 Conference Championships to get to the biggest Dance but the 0-9 is impressive when you look at the last Five NFC Championships and the 4 SuperBowls they have been in. I almost want to call them the Cubbies of the NFL.

I'm guessing that INT stings just a little bit more tonight.

Has to be the 2009 playoffs ... although, 1 Viking choke can't trump all of the Packer chokes by FaRVe. What a poser. This guy would be nothing if he weren't Madden's girlfriend. Not even sidebar news.

If he's not the most unbelievable choke artist in NFL history I'd like to know who is. I can't think of a single player who has stuck a fork in his own team's season as many times as Favre. Not even close.

'Which is why the marriage of the NFL's greatest choke artist with the franchise known for their chokes is so wonderful, and why I hope it lasts for several more years.

The only real question I have is this: Last year, when several of us tried to warn the Viking fans that Favre would ultimately screw the pooch, we were ridiculed and reviled by a couple of Viking fans. Now, having been around the block once, will they be wise or will they still be deceived and encouraged by what Chokey does in the regular season?

Count on it gentlemen. I don't care if Favre doesn't throw a single pick all year and you guys go 16-0........it's a lead-pipe cinch that he'll pee his pants at the absolute worst time. Kind of like that kicker you had about 10 years ago.
